@cacodayum No use trying to reason with this person. The guy pretty much was willing to doom himself when I told him that announcing the ratings would only encourage them. I don't think he's in the mood to listen to any advice no matter how good. Just leave him be, let him cool off for a while and just hope he comes back good as new.

You can't let ratings affect you, my dude. Lots of people see submissions and they ain't all gonna have the same taste. And many are just killing time. Just do what you love, upload it if you want people with the same taste to see it and don't be checkin' ratings. lol
